Avery loves sitting at the little table.  Mostly we use it for jam sessions and coloring but every now and again he wants to sit at the table and eat a snack like the big boys. Braeden is growing up on us.  He has become quite the chatty patty and spends most of his time riding his trike in the driveway.  He says, “Moma , you wanna see somethin..?” and when I say sure he says,” I go real fast.”

     Braeden gets in to the car on Tuesday basically bursting with joy.  It is his turn to be special person of the week which means he gets to bring home Porgey the stuffed pig for an entire week.  Porgey comes with his own toothbrush, a book to read at night time, and a personal journal to add photos to.  I knew his turn was coming up but had no idea how special his time with Porgey would be.

Avery loves some grapes.  He was not happy with the grape I chose for him so I just gave him the whole bowl and let him go at it! I normally cut up his grapes.  However, he actually prefers to bite off bites and normally doesn’t pop the whole thing in there.  Braeden is hanging out on the other side of the counter with his yogurty mustache trying to steal a few when Avery is not looking.

Overall a great Christmas Day.  The morning started off with pillow pets from Santa and ended up with a nice dinner. On Christmas Eve all the grandparents arrived but as a tradition we open one present each with just us.  Here is Braeden eagerly holding tight to his first present of the Christmas season and you can’t deny Avery’s enthusiasm.  This kid has more facial expressions than I have ever seen. Avery Jameson Haller joined our wonderful family on March 10, 2010. He came in weighing 8lbs 5oz and measuring 20.5” in length. Funny thing, he was the exact same length as Braeden, but two pounds heavier and with WAY bigger feet. Momma went 2-for-2 on giving birth un-assisted (no drugs for my lady!) and did very well. Both momma and baby Avery are doing great at home!

It’s official, there’s more than a dusting of snow in the south. It started at around 3:45pm in Columbia and hasn’t stopped yet (as of 8:15pm). Dad ran the 2009 Kiawah Island marathon. Finished in 3 hrs 50 mins 28 secs. Not too bad for getting a bum IT band for miles 10 through 14. We decided that it was time to stop begging the neighbors to play in their sandbox and get Braeden one of his own. I try to help Mom when ever I can. As you can see I am really good at taking things out of the drawers and putting them in the floor. I am actually starting to help clean things up though. Last night Mom asked me to pick up my blocks and put them int he container and I picked up every last one of them and even put the lid on. I am such a big boy.

I love to brush. I take mom or dad into the bathroom several times a day to brush or just play with the toothpaste and tooth brush. I rarely let them double check to make sure my teeth are clean. Mom figures if we are brushing 3 or 4 times a day..surely I am getting something.

Here we are on one of our days out. We met up with a few moms at the Gymboree for some fun. Braeden was just about the only one still crawling around but he did not seemed bother by it. I can't believe it. Its my first wind up toy. Elmo is in a motor boat and after you wind up the propeller he zooms around the bath tub. This is exciting.I will make a great Buckeye.
