Braeden the digger

SANDBOX!

We decided that it was time to stop begging the neighbors to play in their sandbox and get Braeden one of his own. We didn't go for one of those cheesy crab or turtle types, keeping it a little more classic with a brick castle type motif!

Yay, a new sandbox!!!
How do you hold onto this thing?
Oh, this one is much better for digging!
Mom says to keep it in the sandbox, but...
then it gets all over me!
Well, since I'm already covered in sand...
let's throw it all over the place!
Alright...how do you get out of this thing? (as an update to this picture, Braeden can now get out and in all by himself...just wait till he can get the lid off himself!)
This is about as good of a picture of Braeden's black eye as we've gotten I think. Sunday before Easter, the little man fought a slide, and the slide won.

We're uploading a video of the sandbox playtime...it'll be up shortly.

Easter Egg Central

It's Easter time! Let's hunt us up some eggs, mom! So far we have been to two Easter Egg Hunts. Braeden picked up his first egg, opened it, and ate a jelly bean and stuck a chocolate foiled egg in his mouth before I could even blink. Luckily, I rescued the foil egg before his little teeth sunk into it. Here I am looking precious in the fresh green grass on a spring morning.

I was very selective in my egg picking process. I only wanted the eggs that sounded like they had something good in it. I would shake it and then decide if it was rotten or full of treats.

Oh wow Mom..Its a little windy. It might blow me over.

Here we are at our second hunt. Dad came to this one so Mom makes an appearance or two in our pictures. Sometimes we look at all these pictures and think Mom might be my imaginary friend because she is always with me but there is rarely any proof. I had to use an Easter bag in this one because we arrived a couple minutes late and Mom was thinking the egg hunt might be over and she left in in the truck. Way to go Mom.

Take a look at this we match. This was not planned but happens quite frequently. I guess since Mom does the dressing if she's in a brown mood we wear brown if shes in green mood we wear green and so on and so forth. Eventually, I will get to dress myself so watch out Mom.

We all know Braeden is a smart kid but this is a great example of how his little mind works. All of the pictures where you see him picking up eggs were from Mom saying,"Look Braeden there is a preetty red one; Why don't you pick that one up.". Braeden said," look mom there is a whole bag over here so why are we dong all theis walking and bending when we can just take these. Once Braeden realized that he was not allowed to take these eggs he decided we were trying to help them clean up and he would pick up the eggs off the ground and put them back into the big white bag instead of his own. Classic Braeden.

We're back!

Well, we've had a rough go of things this past month. Dad and Braeden got sick at the same time, then just as they got better, Mom had her wisdom teeth pulled which in turn got infected. Oh, and Braeden got about 2 or 3 new teeth all at the same time, causing a good bit of teething tantrums!

So, without further adieu, here's some new pictures! (Mom may come back through and caption them...Dad tends to write too much and doesn't have time for it right now)
