Baby belly!

Realizing we haven’t yet taken a picture of the baby belly, dad snapped this picture while mom was talking on the phone to her sister. They say Avery should be around 7.5 lbs…that’s a good lb more than Braeden!

Flag Pole sittin’

Dad finally put the flag pole up. It was a great day to do it – we even ended up with entertainment from across the street when some kid that doesn’t know how to drive backed his car into the yard on a hill and got stuck because he was directly in front of a tree. They had to chop the tree down (it was dead anyhow) to get the car out.

Anyhow, here’s the flag pole, flying patriotic! (no, it’s not crooked. it is put in the ground level, it’s just windy and blowing the pole pretty good!)IMG_1508

Snow!

We missed how white the trees were in the morning because the battery on our camera was dead from taking pictures from the night before. But, here’s a picture from our deck that shows the accumulation on the railing.IMG_1499 IMG_1500

Snowing in the South!

It’s official, there’s more than a dusting of snow in the south. It started at around 3:45pm in Columbia and hasn’t stopped yet (as of 8:15pm). After supper we decided that it was time to go out and play in the white stuff. Braeden would point around at everything and say “snow…snow.” Most of our neighborhood was actually out playing, it was kinda fun. We even got one neighbor to take our family picture with the snowman we made!

Update 2/13/2010: News channel said we got about 7” in Columbia between 3:30pm and 11:30pm. Record 5th most snowfall in history for the area.

IMG_1475 This is the beginning of the snow. It had probably been falling for about 45 minutes at this point. Temps were still too high for it to really stick.

IMG_1478 And this is what it looked like after about 3 hours.

IMG_1477 Braeden was more interested in getting his picture taken than putting his mittens on!

IMG_1480 Beach ball in the snow!

IMG_1485 This was Braeden’s favorite. Mom showed him how to make snowballs. He just made them and would throw them at the garage to watch them break up and because of the fun sound they made when they hit.

Braeden (and dad) the Builder

For Christmas, Braeden was given a construction worker dress-up kit. Well, he plays with all the tools and stuff, but he doesn’t do the dress up part…that’s for dad!IMG_1464

Kiawah Island Marathon

Dad ran the 2009 Kiawah Island marathon. Finished in 3 hrs 50 mins 28 secs. Not too bad for getting a bum IT band for miles 10 through 14. Here's some pictures we swiped off the photography website since we didn't really get any ourselves (also since we swiped them, they don't get any bigger than what they are...bummer). We did order prints of the 1st, 5th, 7th and 9th pictures, so we'll scan those in when we get them.

Christmas time!!!

Ok, so it's long past Christmas time, but we here at the Haller household have been...well, lazy I suppose!

Braeden's initial reaction to his new kitchen...sheer amazment

Not to be out-done by the new tricycle!

It was a back and forth battle between the tricycle and the kitchen...until...

Grandma had him open the keyboard with self recording ipod type thingy and microphone! After these three presents, Braeden could not take opening another present until after his nap.

Momma's favorite, BOOKS!

Not even out of the woom and little Avery already has dad's knowledge of the ladies.

Dad got lots of Ohio State schwag...

Braeden back in the mood for some un-wrappin's after his nap.

Oooooo, trains! Grandpa was good enough to set up the entire track so we could send the trains around and around.

Weeeee, we're finally hip kids on the street with our very own Wii!

Braeden's back to the kitchen. By far and away the biggest winner of the Christmas presents.

Dad kickin the daylights out of Grandpa and Uncle Jason in Mario Kart. Although, by the end of the Christmas time visit, Grandpa was starting to get pretty good at it!

But not as good as Braeden! (video to come...Braeden makes care noises while driving!)

Finally out in the driveway with the tricycle!

 The Hallers, Christmas 2009!

New furniture!

We're all getting into having new furniture. Mom and dad got a new tv stand for the upstairs and Braeden got a new bed.
